2004-03-311st Lt Doyle M Hufstedler 25 Abilene TX 1st Engineer Battalion, 1st Brigade, 1st Infantry Division Army  Hufstedler died on March 31, in Habbaniyah, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device hit his armored personnel carrier.  US
2003-11-011st Lt Joshua C Hurley 24 Clifton Forge VA 326th Engineer Battalion, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Army  Hurley was killed on Nov. 1 in Mosul, Iraq. Hurley was riding in a high mobility multi-purpose wheeled vehicle when he was hit with an improvised explosive device. US
2009-03-071st Lt Daniel B. Hyde 24 Modesto CA 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division Army  Daniel died in Samarra, Iraq, of wounds sustained in Tikrit when an explosive device struck his unit vehicle. US

2007-10-141st Lt Thomas M. Martin 27 Ward AR 1st Squadron, 40th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division Army  Thomas died in Al Busayifi, Iraq, of wounds suffered when insurgents attacked his unit using small arms fire during combat operations. US
2004-06-041st Lt Erik S McCrae 25 Portland OR 2nd Battalion, 162nd Infantry Army National Guard  McCrae died June 4 in Baghdad, Iraq, when individuals using improvised explosive devices and rocket-propelled grenades attacked their convoy. US
2003-04-041st Lt Brian M McPhillips 24 Pembroke MA 2nd Tank Battalion, 2nd Marine Division Marine  was killed during a firefight in Central Iraq. US
2004-01-251st Lt Adam G Mooney 28 Cambridge MD 3rd Squadron, 17th Cavalry, 10th Mountain Division Army  Mooney’s helicopter went down in the Tigris River during a search. On Feb. 14, his remains were recovered.  US
2007-04-081st Lt Phillip I Neel 27 Fredricksburg TX 3rd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division Army  Neel died April 8 in Balad, Iraq, of wounds suffered when his unit came in contact with enemy forces using grenades. His death is under investigation.  US
2007-04-121st Lt Gwilym J Newman 24 Waldorf MD 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division Army  Newman died April 12 in Tarmiyah, Iraq, of wounds sustained from enemy small arms fire while on dismounted patrol. US
2003-07-301st Lt Leif E Nott 24 Cheyenne WY A Troop, 1st Battalion, 10th Cavalry Army  Leif was killed on July 30 in Belaruz, Iraq, while supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. Knott died of wounds received from hostile fire.  US
2005-10-311st Lt Robert C Oneto-Sikorski 33 Bay St Louis MS 1st Battalion, 155th Infantry Army National Guard  Oneto-Sikorski died in Iskandariyah, Iraq, on Oct. 31, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his dismounted patrol. US
2003-04-251st Lt Osbaldo  Orozco 26 Delano CA 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment Army  died when his vehicle rolled over while traveling through rough terrain. His unit was the quick reaction force and was responding to enemy fire.  US
2004-04-081st Lt Joshua M Palmer 25 Banning CA 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force Marine  Palmer died April 8 due to injuries received from hostile fire in Al Anbar Province, Iraq.  US
2004-09-071st Lt Timothy E Price 25 Midlothian VA 127th Military Police Company, 709th Military Police Battalion, 18th Military Police Brigade, V Corp Army  Price died September 7 when he came under attack by enemy forces using small arms fire.  US
2007-12-201st Lt Jeremy E. Ray 26 Houston TX 1st Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment Army  Jeremy died in Kanaan, Iraq, of wounds suffered when an enemy attacked using an explosive device. US
2007-06-231st Lt Daniel P Riordan 24 St Louis MO 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division Army  Riordan died June 23 in Taji, Iraq, of wounds suffered when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle. US
2003-05-191st Lt Timothy Louis Ryan 30 Aurora IL Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron - 364, Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing Marine  killed on May 19 in the CH-46 Sea-Knight helicopter that went down shortly after take-off in the Shatt Al Hillah Canal, in Iraq. The helicopter was conducting a resupply mission in support of civil military operations.  US
2003-12-221st Lt Edward M Saltz 27 Bigfork MT 2nd Battalion, 3rd Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Armored Division Army  Saltz was killed on Dec. 22 in Baghdad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device struck his convoy. US
