Despite the best possible medical care, he later died from his injuries. UK

2003-04-07Lance Cpl Andrew Julian Aviles 18 Tampa FL 4th Assault Amphibian Battalion, 4th Marine Division Marine  Aviles was killed on April 7 in Central Iraq when an enemy artillery round struck the Amphibious Assault Vehicle in which he was riding. US
2007-08-05Pvt Jeremy S Bohannon 18 Bon Aqua TN 59th Military Police Company, 759th Military Police Battalion, 89th Military Police Brigade Army  Bohannon died Aug. 5 in Baghdad, Iraq, of wounds suffered from enemy indirect fire.  US

For Operation Iraqi Freedom, his unit was attached to Regimental Combat Team 2, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward). US

During Operation Iraqi Freedom, his unit was attached to the 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward). US
2003-03-23Pvt Ruben  Estrella-Soto 18 El Paso TX 507th Maintenance Company, Fort Bliss, Texas Army  in a convoy that was ambushed March 23 in Iraq.  US
2003-05-25Pvt David  Evans Jr 18 Buffalo NY 977th Military Police Company Army  Evans was killed in an explosion at a facility which contained Iraqi ammunition. Evans and another soldier were performing security at the site when their steel shelter collapsed during the initial explosion. The rest of the squad returned after the first explosion and extracted the other soldier, but Pvt. Evans remains could not be located until several hours later.  US

2003-07-15Cpl Cory Ryan Geurin 18 Santee CA 1st Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division Marine  Geurin was killed in Babylon, Iraq, on July 15. He was standing post on a palace roof in Babylon when he fell approximately 60 feet.  US
2005-04-18Pfc Sam W Huff 18 Tucson AZ 170th Military Police Company, 504th Military Police Battalion, 42nd Military Police Brigade Army  Huff died April 18 in Baghdad, Iraq, of injuries sustained on April 17 in Baghdad, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near her HMMWV.  US
2004-05-20Pfc Leslie D Jackson 18 Richmond VA A Company, 115th Forward Support Battalion, 1st Cavalry Division Army  Jackson died May 20, in Baghdad, Iraq, when her military vehicle hit an improvised explosive device as it was returning to Camp Eagle.  US

Mihalakis died as a result of injuries sustained in a non-combat vehicle accident at the Baghdad International Airport. US

2003-08-12Pfc Daniel R Parker 18 Lake Elsinore CA 2nd Battalion, 44th Air Defense Artillery Regiment, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Army  Parker died on Aug. 12 in Mosul, Iraq. Parker was thrown from his vehicle when the driver swerved to avoid an oncoming vehicle in another lane. Parker was fatally injured.  US

2007-02-02Pvt Matthew T Zeimer 18 Glendive MT 3rd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division Army  Zeimer died Feb. 2 in Ramadi, Iraq, of injuries sustained when he came in contact with enemy forces using small arms fire. On April 4, 2007 the Army announced an ongoing unit-level investigation into the circumstances of the soldiers\' deaths and that friendly fire is suspected. US
