Captain James Van Thach

I graduated from Saint John's University with a Bachelor of Arts, Touro Law Center with a Juris Doctorate, Infantry Officer Basic Course, Bradley Mechanized Leaders Course, Airborne School and Air Assault School. I am a retired United States Army Infantry officer.

I have served 24 months in Baghdad, Iraq supporting "Operation Iraqi Freedom" from April 2006 thru April 2008.

A news article was written about my work as a Military Advisor to the Iraqi Army by Vietnam-era War Veteran Tommy "Nero" Sullivan in June 2006, you can read it here.

After I completed my 2 years in Iraq I was bestowed the rank of Honorary Staff Brigadier General of the Iraqi Army by the Republic of Iraq. The news article is titled "Two Years in Iraq and Honored as a General" and you can read it here.

If you would like to contact me you can email me here or email me at James.Van.Thach @ us.army.mil

Respectfully,

James Van Thach

Captain, Infantry
