Preslav Stoyanov, based in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, died on Tuesday May 3, 2005, during a vehicle accident near Basrah.

Preslav was born on March 10, 1978 in the northeast Bulgarian town of Silistra. This was his first tour in the post-war Iraq. He had received a special award from his commander for successfully partaking in the mission.
