Preslav Stoyanov, based in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, died on Tuesday May 3, 2005, during a vehicle accident near Basrah.

Preslav was born on March 10, 1978 in the northeast Bulgarian town of Silistra. This was his first tour in the post-war Iraq. He had received a special award from his commander for successfully partaking in the mission.

To the Stoyanov family from the Wahl family. God Bless Preslav you are a HERO to the WORLD and all of Bulgaria. Terrorism is worldwide that is the reality. You fought terrorism in Iraq. You given the Iraqi people hope to live in peace as Bulgarians do today. Thank you for your military brothethood to our son US Army Sgt. Gregory L. Wahl KIA Balad, Iraq 05-03-04. You two never met however: you are together with all our fallen soldiers. You are remembered today and all the tomorrow's.
