Darin T. Settle

   
Individuals USDarin Settle, posted to Camp Lejeune, died on April 14, 2006, from a non-hostile motor vehicle accident in Al Anbar province. He was a machine gunner on a truck that overturned after being hit from behind by a civilian truck traveling in the same convoy.

Darin, 23, was a Lance Corporal, assigned to Combat Logistics Regiment 2, 2nd Marine Logistics Group. According to the Marine Corps his hometown was Henley, Missouri.

The young Marine was a 2001 graduate of Cole County High School. He was engaged to be married to his fiancé, Angela, and the couple had a six-week-old son, Wesley.

"As long as my body still draws breath your family will be safe" You and i would say this to each other often as a joke but it takes on a whole new meaning now. I love you brother, wait up for me in heaven will you.
