Tiffin Advertiser Tribune -- Richard Allyn Walters Jr., a former Tiffin resident, died Aug. 10, 2009, due to a sudden illness in Kuwait, Iraq, where he was deployed as an LPN.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret Parker; his wife Stephanie; a daughter, Rachel; an expected daughter, Piper; a brother, Greg (Stacy); and a nephew, Benjamin.

He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Allyn Sr. (Marlene).

A Columbian High School graduate, Allyn was a 10 year Navy veteran who served in Desert Storm. In 2006, he re-enlisted in the Army, receiving his LPN in March of 2009.

Friends may call 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2009, at Schuster-Straker-O'Connor Funeral Home, 5904 Ridge Road, Parma, OH 44129.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2009, at Coe Lake, 85 S. Rocky River Drive, Berea.

A Memorial Fund has been set up by Walter Reed Hospital for the Walters children at Bank of America and National City Bank.

A Nurse called to Heaven. You can tell by this picture he was a gentle soul. God Bless you Richard and your family during this time.

Richard,
I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country-not just in OIF, but also for your service with the USN during Desert Storm as well. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
