The Tennessean -- ATLANTA — A funeral is scheduled Saturday in Nashville for a 22-year-old Marine corporal from Roswell, Ga., who died this month in Iraq.

The Department of Defense said Richard O. Quill III died Feb. 1 in Al Anbar province of a "non-hostile cause," but released no other details.
The department said Quill was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, 1 Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton, Calif.
Quill was a graduate of Roswell High School. He was on his second tour of Iraq.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. today at the Calvary Assembly of God on Chamblee-Dunwoody Road. Quill, who has family in Tennessee, is to be buried Saturday following a 1 p.m. funeral at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home in Nashville.

Quill, who was known as Richey, was a graduate of Roswell High School.
In addition to playing on community league sports teams, Quill played on football, baseball and basketball teams at Peachtree Middle School, Dunwoody High School and Roswell High, according to his family.
Quill, who was not married, was also active with the youth group at Calvary Assembly of God in Dunwoody.
He was on his second tour of Iraq. Prior to this tour, he had been deployed to Okinawa, Japan.
A memorial service for Quill will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Calvary Assembly of God on Chamblee-Dunwoody Road.
