Pietro Petrucci was the 19th fatality of the suicide bombing of the Italian Compound in Nasiriyah. He died from injuries on Saturday November 15, 2003, in a military hospital in Kuwait.

Petrucci's parents and two brothers had travelled to Kuwait from Italy where he was being treated and decided to turn the life support system off once it was found that the soldier was brain dead and would not recover from his injuries.
Pietro moved with his family to Casavatore, a town near Naples. He was the second of three sons. In order to escape the unemployment problems in the town, he decided to enlist in the military. He had been sent to Iraq with a Transport unit.
Described as a calm soldier, Pietro wanted to change the destiny of his life that had shown hard work and hardships. his family donated his organs after he died.
