Sabie was born in the beautiful hills of the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina. He loved his home place and his family with every breath of his being. My husband, Jeff, on his summer vacations to visit family in North Carolina would be Sabie and his brother Mark's running pals. Jeff was very close to Sabie and his family...losing Sabie has affected him more than I could imagine. Sabie always looked up to Jeff. Jeff is so proud of him. When we hear the song by Lynard Skynard - "Simple Man"....it describes Sabie to a T. He loved life, he didn't ask for much, provided for his family, served his country with pride, and worked hard all of his life. Sabie will be buried in the Parker family plot on a hill in North Carolina, along side his father, Billy Joe Parker, grandparents Doug & Addie Parker, and Dennis Voiles, who also served in the Army National Guard. We will miss Sabie terribly. Rest in Peace Sabie. Until we meet again.

Sabrant,
I would like to say thank you to you and the other soldiers who died in your unit(1/155th Inf.) for your service and sacrifice for our Country. And to your family, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
