Haeren -- Henrik Nobbe was originally from Arhus, where he was known for his keen interest in music and media. He enlisted into the military on February 1, 2006, where he was allocated to the Jydske Dragonregiment.

Henrik was deployed to Iraq with the ninth rotation of the Danish Battalion in February 2007.
He was a member of the Battalions Armoured Infantry Company. Henrik leaves a mother and father and two siblings. At this time the family is requesting no contact from the media and to respect their privacy.
It is with extensive sorrow and regret, that I the commander of the soldiers from the Danish Battalion in Iraq can declare that, Konstabel Henrik Nobbe is dead.
Henrik was forever smiling, generating pleasure for others. His presence was noticed in any environment and his fellow soldiers loved his addictive personality. Henrik also had a humane character. He guarded prisoners from time to time and always showed compassion towards them.
Henrik was found to be extremely competent on the guitar. His favourite song was Hallelujah from Jeff Buckley.
Henrik Nobbe was a good soldier, one that his fellow soldiers could place their trust in.
Henrik had a large circle of friends, and he was distinct to lending a helping hand and pat on the shoulder to a friend in need. Henrik Nobbe has by his life paid the greatest price. He will be remembered by his comrades from the Battalion, both in Iraq and in Denmark.
My thoughts and basically compassion goes to Henriks companions, friends, and especially his parents and family. It is an experience that they shall handle.
