Unit. Headquarters, 5th Separate Mechanised Brigade.
Hometown. Chernigov Region, Ukraine.
Yuriy Koydan was killed on September 30, 2003, near the Kut Airbase when the vehicle he was travelling in left the road and rolled. He was a patrol commander with the Ukrainian element of the Multinational Division conducting peacekeeping duties in Southern Iraq.
