Jakoniuk was assigned to B Company, 4th Battalion, 3rd Aviation Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division.
He entered the Army in August 2001 and arrived at Fort Campbell in April 2002.

Ninety-three Fort Campbell soldiers have died in Operation Iraqi Freedom -- 24 of whom have died in the current deployment that began in September, Gramling said. |
