Individuals USwww.pasadenastarnews.com -- ARCADIA - Flags will be flown at half-staff over the Capitol in Sacramento in honor of a 23-year-old soldier from Arcadia who was killed in Iraq, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's office announced Thursday.

Sgt. Kyle A. Colnot died Saturday when an improvised explosive device was detonated near the Hummer carrying four soldiers, who were all killed, an aide to Schwarzenegger said.

Colnot and the other soldiers were assigned to the

1st Squadron, 67th Armored Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division from Fort Hood, Texas.

"Sgt. Colnot gave his life serving his country and defending freedom," Schwarzenegger said. "There is no greater, more noble sacrifice than the one Kyle made. Maria and I join all Californians in expressing our deepest sympathies to the family and fellow soldiers as they mourn this brave young man."

Kyle thank you for serving our country. You have not died in vain. It sadden's me to lost another soldier. But, I realize you answered a calling very few Americann's ever do. Take's someone with alot of heart. Willing to risk everything for us all. You are a military brother to our son: as he felt of you. Two very different soldiers with the same goal. Now you are two are together! Along with your brother's and sister's before you and after you. Healing is a slow process. Be supportive toward one another with great understanding. reflect on the many precious memories you shared with KYLE. He is very much in your HEARTS! I had the pleasure of meeting this fine gentleman while visiting my brother at Fort Hood. My brother was in the same Unit with Kyle and spoke of him highly. Spc. Erik O'Brien will miss Colnot very dearly....Jessie in North Carolina
